 FAQ’s

How do I register with Wellbeing?

You will need to provide us with some medical documentation.

 FORMAT:

All medical/doctor’s letters must be

  • Printed on letter headed paper
  • Signed by your GP
  • Stamped by your surgery.

CONTENT:

Letters must describe how your specific health condition impacts on your ability to access your learning needs on a day to day basis. Eg:

  •  An inability to use staircases if you have a mobility issue
  •  A need to sit at the front of the class and receive large print handouts if you have a visual impairment.

Letters should also state whether this is a long term condition, or something that is only impeding you in the short term. (If this is not stated, then you will be asked for more evidence in future). Eg: Miss Jones has been suffering from depression for a number of years and, although controlled with medication, is likely to continue to impact on her ability to study and go about daily activities for years to come. Or, Mr Smith came into surgery today with an injury sustained in a recent car accident. It is likely that he will need accessible rooms for the next 3-6 months.
