The NatWest Boost Bus - NatWest’s Mobile Business School, arrived at Royal Hill on Monday 9th October, offering support and connecting people interested in starting and growing their own business.
NatWest’s specialist enterprise managers and Business Growth Enablers, representatives from local businesses and the borough councils were on board offering support and advice.
Angela Byrne, Regional Managing Director, London & South East, Business Banking at NatWest, said: “Our mobile business bus is a great way to get into local communities and support aspiring business owner. We hope to provide a broader range of support to help more entrepreneurs realise their business ambitions across greater London than ever before”.
Andrew Falconer, Director of Careers and Employability at GSM London, said: “For over 40 years, GSM London has delivered degree-level education under the banner of supporting diversity and inclusion. We have a wealth of talented students with ideas that - with the right guidance - can put them on the road to developing successful businesses and careers. The NatWest Boost Bus is an excellent way of delivering that support and we are excited to be one of the higher education institutions selected to participate this year.”
Sandra Rhule, Faculty Employability Consultant in the Careers and Employability Team at GSM London, said: "Once again it’s a pleasure to have Nick Howe, Enterprise Manager, Diversity in Business, at NatWest, and his team back at our Greenwich campus as part of their London wide tour. As an institution with a high ratio of entrepreneurs and others who are looking to start their own businesses, it is fantastic to be able to offer our students another opportunity to have one-to–one consultation with business experts.
"Last year, the BizBus provided an excellent free mentoring and face-to face assistance to help our students move forward in either starting to formulate their business ideas or thinking about how to continue to grow their businesses. On their previous visit we experienced tremendous engagement and participation from our students with Nick and his team seeing over 50 students on the day."
The tour is set to visit 10 boroughs across the Greater London area, starting on the 9th of October in Greenwich and finishing in Newham on the 20th of October.
