What is Wellbeing?
As GSM London’s Wellbeing team, we have a range of support that enables your university experience to be positive and enjoyable. The Wellbeing Team are your first point of contact if you have:
- A physical health diagnosis
- Mental health issue
- Social disability
- Health concerns
- Any specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia
- A personal issue or circumstance which may affect your studies
Welcome to your new journey!
Studying at degree level can seem really daunting, especially for those returning to education after a lengthy time off. There may be times throughout your study when you feel overwhelmed. It is important for you to remember you are NOT alone. We work hard to ensure that help is always available for you at GSM London, all you need to do is to speak to someone and ask for support. There may be someone that can offer you a helping hand. We highly encourage you to speak to your lecturer, personal tutor or the Wellbeing Team. We are all here to support you.
How can you avoid stress?
Try to find a routine that work for you where you are able to healthily balance: studying, family commitments, work commitments, exercising, socialising and down time (time where you focus on you or do nothing at all). All of this will enable you to look after yourself and will help in times of stress and feeling overwhelmed.
