GSM London chief executive Alison Wheaton has made the news again after her appointment to the Higher Education Funding Council committee for leadership, governance and management. After joining top higher education provider GSM London in May 2013, Wheaton has since been making her, and GSM London’s, presence known among higher education heads and businesses.
Offering career-focused business management degrees and similar courses to over 5,000 students, GSM London is now considered one of the UK’s largest independent providers of higher education and, as such, promises to provide its students with a quality education with their future at its heart.
Before her role at GSM London, Wheaton held senior director positions at PepsiCola International and Mitchells & Butlers, to name just a couple. This puts her in a position of being able to offer insight into being an experienced management leader with a creative business head, benefits that are sure to filter down to the students.
Wheaton said of the appointment that “new thinking” will be increasingly important in responding to challenges posed by the global education market.
