Students Union Holds Unity Event
‘Tis the season to be jolly, a time to remember those who play a part in your life regularly and make with them, memories to last a lifetime. GSM London is privileged to have students and staff from a variety of cultural backgrounds, contributing many different characteristics. In celebration of this, our Students’ Union is hosting a Unity Cultural Event on December 11th at our Greenford Campus. It will be a time to come together as a community and celebrate our diversity, to fund raise for the Liverpool charity, which supports, encourages and develops voluntary action and charitable giving to bring people, organisations and resources together. The event also marks the announcement of the arrival of the Students’ Union. It is important to us that all our students have the opportunity to come along and celebrate, and so a coach has been arranged for travel between our Greenwich and Greenford campuses.
The event will be run by a number of Events Management students, each in charge of a different element of the day. Not only will this be an enjoyable experience for them, their involvement in the Unity event will contribute to their work for this semester.
As well as representing many of the different cultures that we celebrate at GSM London, we will also be hosting a Christmas wonderland, and auction giving you the chance to win dinner with the Dean or lunch with a lecturer. The fun doesn’t stop there! We are also hosting a fashion show in which our students and staff will show off their native/traditional wear. Why not join them and model your native apparel?
‘Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone’*, so come along to our Greenford Campus, from 12pm – 5pm, to celebrate the unity of various cultures at GSM London and contribute to a good cause.
