By any measure the past 12 months have been something of a rollercoaster ride at GSM. Much has happened, and right in the thick of this activity has been the creation of the GSM School of English. The school has proved to be a considerable hit with those who have attended it, not least for its flexible approach and range of services offered. The school specialises in providing English classes for non-native English speakers, these include English for Academic Purposes (EAP), General English, Business English and preparation for IELTS.
The school is led by the GSM Director of Studies Ellie Murchie. A lifelong teacher Ellie confesses that her chosen career all started by accident when she decided to teach English during a gap year; since then she has taught English in Scotland, South Korea and Lesotho. Ellie was recruited to specifically set up the school in September 2013, and its rapid development echoes that of GSM London as a whole. Since opening its doors almost a year ago the school has consistently provided excellent value with its variety of flexible language courses and additional support classes.
Ellie is particularly proud of the positive feedback the school has received from students and sees it as an important part of the improvement process. By utilising small class sizes, and employing experienced teaching staff, the school is able to focus on the needs of each individual student. The result of this attention is that if a student chooses to continue their studies with GSM, they are ideally placed to do so.
