What A levels do I need for a business management course?
The requirements for our BSc (Hons) Business Management course are two A levels, graded A* to E, equalling 32 UCAS points, (new UCAS entry tariff for 2017 explained), or the completion of GSM London’s Foundation Year programme (with a minimum of 120 credits). Equivalent qualifications, which are subject to Plymouth University approval, are also accepted and include the BTEC National Certificate/Diploma, Advanced Level Diploma, HNC/D, Access to HE, International Baccalaureate and Irish/Scottish Highers/Advanced.
A survey by Which? shows that the best A levels generally for business management degrees are maths, business studies and economics. IT and computing A levels are also well received.
At GSM London we believe that potential is measured in more ways than one. We love great A level results and academic excellence, and we are also equally appreciative to bright people that want to show us they are doers. We value when the applicants for our business management courses have great ideas and interesting and relevant life experience. We want to know that you will work hard, that you can stick at something, and that you have a genuine interest and knowledge. You can read all about the requirements for our courses on our website.
Non-Standard requirements for the business management degree
Like we said, we are interested in hearing about your experience and knowledge. Send in your up-to-date CV, along with evidence of at least one year of full-time work experience, and a signed and stamped work reference.
We will then invite you to come in for an interview where we have a friendly chat about your goals and motivations, which you can show us by using live examples that demonstrates your determination.
The benefit of a course that advocates diversity is that you get interesting people from different backgrounds.
Business management lecturer Tawa Edwards said:
“We have our graduates in the police force, we have them in the music industry, working with the UN, working in the finance industry and in the oil and gas industry. It really is up to you where this degree can take you.”
