College Governance and Strategy

Our governance structure provides the framework within which key considerations are made and decisions taken to enable GSM London to operate effectively, develop, and maintain and enhance standards of quality of provision. GSM London’s governance structure consists of the Board of Directors, the Academic Board, the College Executive Group, and their standing committees. They convene to consider and discuss College activities and, where necessary, make decisions that grant authority, define expectations or verify performance. These form the basis for making policy to drive the College forward in line with its mission and values. The Board of Directors is the College’s governing body and is charged with its general conduct and business. The Academic Board is responsible for the academic work of the College in teaching, examining and research matters. The College Executive Group steers the corporate and strategic planning of the College to oversee its performance and manage institutional risk. All the College’s committees, boards and panels are governed by their terms of reference, maintained by the Governance Team.
