What will I learn?

The programme is a flexible framework award providing a personalised programme of learning to suit individual needs, using the employment role and workplace as a context, and support current and future career aspirations.

The programme is structured over three phases – Certificate; Diploma; Honours/Bachelor’s degree – and the curriculum framework facilitates a programme of negotiated learning (work-based projects and selected modules from the GSM London portfolio), to support the learner to engage in the development of their professional practice.

Entry requirements

An applicant must normally be 18 years of age at the start of the programme and as a minimum must have obtained:

  • 2 A Level passes (A*-E/ minimum of 80 UCAS Tariff points) or successfully achieved 120 credits on the GSM London’s Foundation Year programme or equivalent

If English is not the applicant’s first language, proof of fluency through IELTS (minimum score 6.0) or another accepted system must be provided.

Applications made under these qualifications may be subject to approval by Plymouth University.

Applicants must be employed or undertaking voluntary work.

Accreditation for prior learning will also be considered on an individual basis.

Tuition fees

The typical tuition fee for this degree is £3,000 to £4,500 per year, depending on whether you complete 60 or 90 credits, respectively. A university degree is 360 credits and can take up to 6 years to complete.  If you hold prior qualifications these may exempt you from parts of the course (see Entry Requirements) your tuition fees may vary,  the price per credit is £50.00.  Prior exemptions will be considered on an individual basis.

 

This course will cost a maximum of £18,000.

Registration and enrolment

Once we receive your application form and supporting documents, we will assess your application and if successful, we will issue you an acceptance letter and a fee statement detailing your enrolment date, programme cost and duration.

You should arrive for enrolment on the date specified in your acceptance letter, at your chosen GSM London campus. Please note that international students will be asked to pay a percentage of tuition fees on or before enrolment.
